Black Ops 7 Season 3 brings players a wealth of new content, such as returning maps and new weapons. However, the biggest change is that PvE endgame content has been made free-to-play.

CoD Black Ops 7 Season 3 Guide: Best New Weapons, Maps & Free Endgame Explained

Multiplayer Maps

Beacon and Abyss are two new maps added this season. Beacon is a remote, snow-covered map featuring a Guild facility. This map is likely more suitable for mid-to-long-range engagements.

The second map, Abyss, creates a claustrophobic atmosphere. It's set inside a submarine with narrow corridors. Therefore, short-range weapons will play a significant role here, especially shotguns and melee weapons.

Meanwhile, some older maps are returning, with players now able to experience Plaza from Black Ops 2 and Gridlock from Black Ops 4. It's worth mentioning that besides resetting these classic locations, Plaza has also received some updates to complement Black Ops 7's Wall Jumping mechanics.

Zombies Map

Zombies mode welcomes a new map in Season 3 update - Ashwood Survival. This map takes players to a town during Civil War era, said to be a twisted town filled with eeriness and demonic energy.

Modes Breakdown

In addition to the new and remastered maps, a brand new mode and four popular modes are returning. Returning modes include Demolition, Aim High, Snipers Only, and Zombie Battle; the new mode is Zombie Battle. Here's a detailed explanation:

  • Demolition: This is a returning mode. In short, this mode is divided into attacking and defending teams. The attacking team must detonate two bomb sites, while the defending team must hold their ground. Both teams can respawn infinitely.
  • Aim High: The classic mode from Black Ops 6 makes a triumphant return. This mode is perfect for training your accuracy; headshots instantly eliminate enemies, helping you become a future sharpshooter.
  • Snipers Only: The pure sniper mode returns. In this mode, all equipment, weapons, and field upgrades are prohibited; you can only kill enemies with sniper rifles.
  • Zombie Battle: This is a brand new mode - a free-for-all mode supporting 2-4 players. All players will be trapped in the same starting room and must compete for survival and points.

New Weapons

CoD Black Ops 7 Season 3 adds four brand new weapons: MK35 ISR, VST, Strider 300, and Semi-auto Pistol 1911. You can try out these weapons in CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies. Here are there details:

  • MK35 ISR: This is an Assault Rifle with an integrated suppressor, suitable for players who enjoy stealth combat but don't want to sacrifice the typical damage range of an Assault Rifle. To obtain this weapon, you need to complete page 3 of Battle Pass; it appears as a high-value objective reward.
  • VST: A brand-new submachine gun designed for extreme close-quarters mobility. This weapon is located on page 6 of Battle Pass. Like MK35, it is also a free high-value objective reward, meaning the only condition for obtaining it is spending time playing and gaining experience points.
  • Strider 300: A brand-new bolt-action Sniper Rifle, unlockable through Lost Outpost event. Players must complete all relevant challenges during the event to unlock this weapon.
  • Pistol 1911: This is a semi-auto pistol, and for many veteran players, the return of this pistol is undoubtedly a major highlight. 1911 pistol isn't tied to Battle Pass, or any major themed events; instead, it's released as a weekly challenge reward. To unlock it, you need to complete six challenges during its first week of release.

Weapon Attachments

  • VAS Convergence Foregrip: This attachment improves bullet deflection and recoil stability, resulting in a smoother, more predictable recoil pattern. This item is available for free in Battle Pass.
  • Shadow SK 12-Gauge Masterkey: This semi-auto underbarrel shotgun fires 12-gauge ammunition rapidly, a significant change for sniper enthusiasts. This item is earned by completing weekly challenges.
  • X9 Maverick Javelin Assembly: It fires deadly projectiles at enemies, but this attachment is only available with X9 Maverick assault rifle.

Endgame Mode is Now Free-to-Play

Endgame Mode is now free to play starting with Black Ops 7 Season 3. It can be accessed through Call of Duty main menu or Warzone.

With this shift to a free-to-play model, Operations will officially join Endgame Mode, with the first mode named Operation Poison Pill, serving as the primary mission in Season 3 Endgame Mode.

In addition, to complement this mission, two weapons have been released that are only usable in Operation Poison Pill. Meanwhile, Season 3 update also improves Endgame loadout system, allowing players to create more specialized and unique gear setups.

This concludes the article about BoD Black Ops 7 Season 3 update. We hope you enjoy a different gaming experience in the new season and welcome both new and returning players.
