Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred has been out for quite some time now, and I believe some players have already reached the endgame. So the question is, what build should you choose at this stage to maximize your combat power?

Today, I'll recommend the 10 strongest character builds currently available in the game. If you're unsure which build to choose, feel free to check out my recommendations.

This list is arranged from strongest to weakest:

  • 10th: Evade Spiritborn
  • 9th: Shield of Retribution Paladin
  • 8th: Penetrating Shot Rogue
  • 7th: Companion Druid
  • 6th: Apocalypse Warlock
  • 5th: Crackling Energy Sorcerer
  • 4th: Blood Wave Necromancer
  • 3rd: Whirlwind Barbarian
  • 2nd: Minion Barbarian
  • 1st: Ball Lightning SorcererRanked: The 10 most overpowered Diablo 4 builds right now, from "Afk" Minion Barbarian to "One-Shot"Ball Lightning Sorcerer

10th: Evade Spiritborn

The core of this Spiritborn build is the skills Ring of Writhing Moon and Evade.

This build requires a crucial piece of equipment - Widow's Web Amulet. Its effect is that when you land a critical hit, it instantly detonates all poison damage over time on your enemy.

9th: Shield of Retribution Paladin

This build was very powerful in previous Diablo 4 games, but it only ranks 9th in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred.

This build uses Blessed Shield as its primary damage skill and chooses Shield of Retribution as its core upgrade option. This upgrade allows every hit caused by your thrown Blessed Shield to deal Thorns damage.

The key equipment for this build is Ward of the White Dove, which multiplies the damage of Blessed Shield, thus greatly increasing the character's attack power.

8th: Penetrating Shot Rogue

This is the only Rogue build on this list. Its core mechanic is quite interesting, allowing you to summon multiple clones of yourself to attack.

To make the clones even more powerful, you need to use Nightstalker's Aspect. Its effect is to increase the damage dealt by the clones, and each clone has a 50% chance to spawn an additional clone when attacking.

Additionally, you need to equip Eaglehorn, which allows your arrows fired after using Penetrating Shot skill to bounce between walls and increase their damage.

7th: Companion Druid

This is the strongest Druid build in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred, and it's also a very easy build because the real damage output comes from your summoned companions, not yourself.

The core damage source of this build is summoning a pack of wolves, ravens, and vine creepers to attack enemies.

The key to this build lies in two pieces of equipment: Accord of the Wilds Ring, which increases the damage of your companions as the total number of companions increases; and Storm's Companion, which transforms Ravens' normal attacks into lightning damage and grants them a special ability, significantly boosting their damage output.

Of course, you can replace them with other Diablo 4 Uniques with similar effects, as long as they increase damage output.

6th: Apocalypse Warlock

This is the strongest build for the new Warlock class in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred. It revolves around Apocalypse skill, which has high attack power but a long base cooldown of 66.6 seconds.

Therefore, you need to find ways to reduce the cooldown. First, after upgrading Apocalypse to Annihilation, it can channel a Hellfire Blast.

Next, you just need to ensure you have at least 20 stacks of Annihilation when activating it, then upgrade Umbral Chains to Chain Whip and change its skill type to Hellfire. This way, each time you cast Umbral Chains, it's equivalent to casting Hellfire Blast.

5th: Crackling Energy Sorcerer

This is Sorcerer build. Its core is Crackling Energy - orbs of lightning triggered by lightning skills. Detonating these orbs deals massive damage.

However, this build requires two items: Isadora's Overflowing, which directly links your attack speed to the frequency of lightning orb releases; and Galvanic Azurite, which generates additional lightning orbs when your lightning skills hit enemies.

4th: Blood Wave Necromance

This build is the strongest Necromancer class build in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred.

The core of this build is upgrading Blood Wave skill to Hemorrhage, making it a core skill that costs 50 energy and has no cooldown.

The key is pairing it with Word of the Blood Binder set. Its effect is: casting Blood Wave consumes 3% of your maximum health, but in exchange, it increases damage by 75% and allows Blood Wave to be cast twice.

3rd: Whirlwind Barbarian

The core gameplay of this build involves equipping your character with Gohr's Devastating Grips. Its effect is to increase Whirlwind's damage and create a monster-attracting effect, pulling all monsters to your side.

Furthermore, to allow you to spin indefinitely, you need to equip Tibault's Wil and activate Iron Skin skill, which provides the resources to keep you spinning.

2nd: Minion Barbarian

The core of this build is the skills Call of the Ancients and Rallying Cry, which you need to pair with Bul-Kathos's Pride set. Its effect is that every time you summon an ancestor, an additional one will be summoned.

1st: Ball Lightning Sorcerer

This is the most powerful build in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred. Its core gameplay is Orbital skill paired with Aspect of Overwhelming Currents. Every time you use a lightning skill critical hit, this aspect provides a 4-second buff of increased lightning damage with no upper limit.

It's also recommended pairing it with Mage-Lord's Aspect, which provides damage reduction. Alternatively, you can choose some Diablo 4 Uniques with damage reduction effects.

These are the top ten builds in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred. Is there a build suitable for your class? If so, you can use this as a reference to refine your own build. Hope this helps!
