The Ultimate Paladin Build Guide for Diablo 4 Season of Slaughter:4 Endgame Variants
This guide summarizes the four most complete Paladin variant builds for Diablo IV Season 12,listing the build structure for each variant, including high-damage, high-mobility,and even a hands-free,zero-button build.
Following the recent Diablo 4 season 12 update, Paladin's gameplay has also been updated.
Paladin originates from Wardens of Light faction - founded by a former Zakarum knight. It is a classic sword and shield class, capable of dealing damage with holy magic and protecting and buffing allies with auras.
This guide will detail the four most popular and highest-performing Aura Paladin builds currently available.

Build Variants
2H Speed
This build variant provides maximum mobility while maintaining high damage, maximizing attack speed.
Skill Selection
This build variant leverages Paladin's class characteristics in its skill selection. Paladin's Holy Light Aura deals wide-area damage, while Zealot Aura increases attack speed and critical strike chance. Resistance Aura provides defense and resistances.
Sundered Night automatically casts Consecration, significantly enhancing Paladin's aura effectiveness within its area of effect. Resplendence reduces skill cooldowns, allowing for rapid refresh and utilization of the benefits from Zealot and Resistance Auras.
For further mobility, use Falling Star or Blade's Edge to dash forward, increasing movement speed without reducing damage. If prioritizing survivability over mobility, you can choose Run Aegis with Stay Resolute for increased defense.
Gear
Use Dawnfire, granting it Masterwork Righteousness affix. Ceh is also crucial; based on Paladin's skill characteristics, the more wolves present, the wider Holy Light Aura's coverage.
You can choose Sundered Night to make your damage within Consecration effect's range more significant, or use Griswold's Opus and Aspect of Proselytizing to increase defense, allowing you to move instead of staying in a fixed area.
Using Qax consumes all your Faith and increases your damage for one second based on your remaining Faith. Therefore, carrying items that increase Faith and affixes that quickly regenerate Faith is crucial.
Elixirs and Incenses
Regarding the choice of Elixirs and Incenses, all four build variants are the same: Elixir of Advantage, Spiral Morning, Song of Mountain, and Soothing Spices.
Skill Tree
Choose Emblem Armor for higher damage. If you don't have Lucky Hit Chance, grant Seraph's Wings to any ring or gloves. Secondly, we don't need to invest points in Crafting; instead, we should invest them in Consecration talent, which Sundered Night will automatically cast.
Glyph Upgrade Order
- Resplendence
- Arbiter
- Spirit
- Judicator
- Challenger
Boss/Push
This build is the highest DPS build, maximizing damage and output by sacrificing cooldown time and movement speed.
Skill Selection
This build variant requires the use of Justice, therefore we need to use Arbiter of Justice to maintain Arbiter form and utilize the effects of Ascended Aspect and Aspect of Celestial Strife.
By increasing Arbiter of Justice points or reducing cooldown time with Resplendence, you can continuously use the aura and gain its buffs. Unlike 2H Speed, after cooldown, you need to immediately use the active skill of Holy Light Aura to deal high damage and maintain Dawnfire.
As the name suggests, this build primarily focuses on advancing Vanguard Conflict to stack Path of Penitent.
Equipment
This variant adds the Crown of Lucion to the previous set, and its accompanying Vanguard Assault skill restores Faith with each attack, providing a source for Qax usage and ensuring increased damage. There are also other worthwhile affixes to pursue, such as those that increase killstreak bonuses or critical strike chance.
Skill Tree
Choose Path of Penitent, as this set consumes a lot of Faith, and we need to reduce the consumption. Furthermore, Penitent bonus at max stacks is higher than that of Aegis. The synergy between the advanced talents and Touch of Law allows for better judgment of enemies.

Starter
This is a very beginner-friendly variant. You can also choose this set if you haven't obtained any Mythic or Legendary Diablo 4 Items yet.
Skill Selection
This Starter build also requires using Arbiter of Justice or Falling Star to ascend to Justice.
Considering you might not have high-level items as a starter, focus on utilizing Paladin's inherent skill buffs and using Resplendence to reduce cooldowns. Equipping Aegisill maximize block chance and Resolve points.
Equipment
This build doesn't necessarily require Dawnfire, but runes synergize with Dawnfire for higher damage.
Skill Tree
This build doesn't require additional skill points. Resplendence will reduce cooldowns, allowing Holy Light aura to activate faster.

- Arbiter
- Spirit
- Judicator
- Challenger
0 Button
With this variant, you don't need to do anything; just stand there and you can easily clear levels. For complete auto-play, use Ahu+Ceh and Justice Arbiter.
Equipment
The essence of this build lies in Ceh,because the more wolves spawned, the more allies are under Holy Light aura, and they will fight for you. If you want to completely AFK, you can use Ahu + Ceh, and you still don't need to use Dawnfire.
Skill Tree
Same as 2H Speed, choose Crest Cloak and Seraph's Wings.
