2nd Inning Program in MLB The Show 26 officially launched on April 10th, bringing players a wealth of new content, with two Baseball Hall of Famers appearing as rewards in Boss Choice Pack.

The two new Legends in MLB The Show 26 have earned their first Diamonds in Diamond Dynasty.MLB The Show 26 2nd Inning Program: Babe Ruth vs Randy Johnson Boss Choice Pack, Free Victor Martinez & All New DiamondsThis update balances immediate rewards with long-term progression paths across multiple modes, setting the tone for April and ensuring Diamond Dynasty remains active in all modes. Players will receive a random bonus reward for every 30,000 XP earned after reaching 500,000 XP.

New Legends

The highlight of this update is the addition of new legend Victor Martinez (92OVR) to Weekend Classic 1, who will appear in multiple modes as part of a generous reward package.

Besides Martinez, players can also earn rewards such as Bernie Williams, Randy Johnson, Babe Ruth, Carlos Correa, Jo Adell, Ryan Weathers, and Cody Bellinger through various reward paths.

Weekend Classic 1

We can now earn 90+ OVR cards early in the season! Weekend Classic returns as a ranked, timed competitive mode. You'll have six initial matches to climb the leaderboard and earn rewards. Top rewards include Postseason Series Victor Martinez (92 OVR) and Bernie Williams (92 OVR). This mode ends on April 14th.

New Bosses

Before reaching 500,000 XP, you can unlock two mini-bosses: Rick Ferrell and Bobby Doerr, and then choose between Randy Johnson or Babe Ruth in the 2nd Inning Program Choice Pack.

Rick Ferrell debuted as the third-ranked catcher. You might not be familiar with the name Rick Ferrell yet. As a pure catcher, Rick Ferrell is a strong offensive player with high Contact, Vision, and Clutch ratings.

His hitting power against RHP is slightly above average, but he's practically useless against LHP. His Gold Fielding will upgrade to Diamond Fielding in Parallel 5.

Bobby Doerr possesses similar offensive capabilities to Ferrell and is also a Gold Fielder with excellent defensive range and powerful arms.

Furthermore, he has decent power hitting ability against LHP. His weakness is his speed of only 52, but he has the potential to become a right-handed second baseman like Corey Seager.

Babe Ruth is ranked 11th overall. Great Bambino is a card primarily for left field, but also qualified as a first baseman and right fielder, although his 45 Speed makes it difficult for him to dominate the outfield.

Randy Johnson is not only one of the greatest starting pitchers in the real world, but also a formidable opponent in MLB The Show, easily reaching 100 mph. It's worth noting that his 4-Seam Fastball lacks Outlier Quirk, yet he can still easily throw at 100 mph.

2nd Inning XP Path

The 2nd Inning XP Path introduces a brand-new upgrade system for all modes, allowing you to earn XP by playing any game mode in MLB The Show 26.

After the 4.10 update, you can earn 2,500 XP playing as a Cornerstone Series player; 3,500 XP for scoring 20 runs in Conquest at any difficulty; 5,000 XP for hitting 50 bases in Weekend Classic and Ranked; 5,000 XP for hitting 15 home runs in any difficulty and any mode; and 5,000 XP for striking out 50 batters at any difficulty.

If you own two 1st Inning Program Boss cards, you can lock them and receive a 30,000 XP boost in the 2nd Inning. Similar Drop Missions to 1st Inning will be released in the coming weeks.

Additionally, obtaining any Multiplayer Bonus Egg through Egg Hunt Program will grant an extra 1,000 XP. After completing the main XP path, you can continue to earn additional rewards through XP Reward Wheel.

Cornerstone Program

Cornerstone Program adds Houston Astros 3B Carlos Correa (91 OVR). Correa returned to Houston Astros last season and was placed at third base. Of course, he's already a team legend, and you don't need to rely on card packs to obtain a reliable infielder by completing Moments and Missions.

April Spotlight Drop 2 Program

This program is connected to the real world, showcasing players' real-world performances, led by Adell (91 OVR). Other rewards include Joey Wiemer and Jose Fernandez, as well as a Spotlight Pack containing Diamond tier players of varying levels, such as Sandy Alcantara and Miguel Vargas.

Spotlight Pack is available through Program or Shop and contains both rare and basic Diamond tiers. Collecting Spotlight players earns monthly rewards such as April Lightning and Retro Lightning cards.

April Showers Conquest Map

You can obtain Topps Now Ryan Weathers (90 OVR), packs, MLB The Show 26 Stubs, and a Bullpen Bash Choice Pack through April Showers Conquest Map. Bullpen Bash Choice Pack includes players like Andrew Miller and Blake Treyning and is available in Shop and Conquest mode.

Chase Pack 5 and Challenge of Week 5

You can obtain Chase Pack 5 through bundles and XP Path rewards wheel. The main reward is Cody Bellinger (93 OVR). Week 5 Challenge features Kyle Schwarber versus Zac Gallen, and you can repeatedly complete this challenge to quickly earn extra in-game currency.
