What Changes Comes With Overwatch 2 Season 15: Honor And Glory Update?

Recently, Overwatch 2 team announced in a livestream that they are rolling out updates and changes over the next few seasons. These new changes will be throughout Season 15: Honor and Glory, which will be released on February 18th. Let’s take a look at what new content we can expect in this new season.

Season 15 trailer shows off the new content players can expect this season, such as competitive rank resets, new Galactic Weapons that players can earn through competitive play, additional benefits for returning to the game, loot boxes, including some new Zenyatta mythic skins and new battle pass skins. In addition, Honor and Glory season also has a collaboration with Korean pop group Le Sserafim, so we can expect a musical feast!

Skill System

There are also some new changes to the skill system that players can try out in Season 15. Players can upgrade their hero twice in a match and have the opportunity to choose between two small skills to maximize the hero’s potential, such as cooldown reduction and small passive skills. The developers describe these new hero skill changes as a fundamental shift in the way to experience the game.

In addition, during the premiere, they also showed some skills of Orisa, Torbjörn and Ana. For example, Torbjörn will be able to stick his turret to the wall. Each hero’s skills will bring a unique experience to players.

6v6 Mode Returns

Another exciting change is the return of 6v6 mode, which will have its own competitive queue and will be an open queue. They will also introduce a new mode, Overwatch Classic: GOATS, which allows players to choose 3 supports and 3 tanks, play against each other and strategize.

Stadium Mode

New Heroes

Finally, the developers announced and debuted two new heroes expected to be released this year. They introduced Freja, a new damage-focused hero who wields a crossbow and a cape, which gives her plenty of playtime. Her ultimate can drag enemies to a central point and damage them.

There’s also another Chinese hero with a powerful water-based ability, Aqua, who is expected to appear in Season 18 later this year, so let’s wait and see!
